Biking through Belgium🌳

R. is a huge fan of cycling, so one of the things he really wanted to do was to bike around the Belgian Ardennes. I agreed, as long as I could ride an e-bike. Because no way I'm gonna bike a hill without e-support of course.

Helmets, check, sportiness, check. A rain proof outfit? Check! 

Background story: R. also had an e-bike, but due to a malfunction it didn’t provide full support. This meant that cycling uphill was a real challenge for him. By the time he finally made it to the top, he was completely ripped. Proud of you though!

We then biked to a small town called Stavelot.

We then went to see the Coo Waterfalls.

I think we biked around a total of 63km that day.🚵

EN Or you can call them ‘scrubbies’ but I use them to create whip cream for my crochet cakes and cupcakes! They also make great home decorations by putting them into a maison jar! Did I just inspire you to make them as a gift for your friend, mum, girlfriend..? I’ll say: go for it! EN This week is officially my back-to-work week from my 6 wonderful weeks off Summer break. And like always it takes some time to adjust, to get my inner work engine warmed up again and like always take a deep breath. It’s kind of the same feeling going back to school but instead of school it’s work. Yay. Since it’s my first work week and it’s first of September why not kick it off with a DIY post. BIRDY & Griff concerts

The year of 2024 was the year of concert visiting: BIRDY and Griff. That brings my total to just three concert visits in my entire life. Yes, wow,  not that many, ha! I’ve been a big fan of Birdy ever since she released her cover singles Skinny Love and People Help the People , so I was thrilled to finally hear both songs live at the Caprera stage. She sounded absolutely amazing and crystal clear, just like on her studio recordings. By the way, Caprera is a gorgeous open-air venue. If one of your favorite artists ever performs there, I definitely recommend going! My second concert was in Belgium to see Griff live at De ROMA. De ROMA is a beautiful Art Deco cultural center and performance venue in Antwerp. I started to love Griff because she’s half Chinese and half Jamaican, she writes and performs her own songs, plays piano and guitar, and even makes her own clothes from thrifted pieces. Talk about multi-talented, right? She’s still so young, and I’m really rooting for a success...
