Project: Vegan rose chocolate cake

Image
EN It' s been awhile since I've made a cake with 3 layers and so it was a good excuse to bake one and eat one lately. I mean everyday is someone's birthday and to celebrate it a bit we need cake! I opt to make a naked vegan cake. Baked not raw and it's rosewater flavoured combined with the flavour of dark chocolate buttercream. Minimum because it's a naked cake after all. And as cherry but not really cherry on top of the cake there's fresh strawberries! Plus mine is free from refined sugar as well. Hurray for stevia, agave and this other sweetener that I've discovered in the USA: monkfruit extract. Anyways enjoy my little 3-caketopper recipe!

DIY: round straw bag

EN When it comes to trends in fashionland I do not always follow them.  I think this is one of the perks of getting older and growing wiser and be immune for fast-fashion. That saves me some money too! But sometimes there are good trends that you want to be part of the trend-bandwagon. Like this round shaped straw woven/rattan bag that I've been seeing around social media. I have to admit it's cute!   And I want one. Too bad the ones I find in stores are pretty (over)pricey. Since I refuse to pay for an overpriced bag I've decided to DIY and made my own and you can too!

Image
EN A while ago I was in Amsterdam at Papercloud HQ for a DIY collaboration because Papercloud is a seasonal DIY magazine. I have been here before for their first issue which was the Christmas issue. As for their second issue 'Spring' I was invited again to be part of it and of course I was present! Papercloud Spring contains DIY projects in Spring themed as the title described but also Easter and other nature inspired projects. It also contains coloring pages, adorable wrapping gift papers and stickers! Papercloud Spring  is now available in stores, woo! Take a quick scroll below for the behind the scene moments of making this Spring issue!
