3 Disposable camera's | TEST | Kodak - Lebox - Harman

EN

Let's go back retro style with disposable camera's! I kind of disposed the disposable cams out of my life since the upcoming digital camera's and camera's on mobile phones. Same for my analog camera.
But for my birthday I've decided to memorize this big three-0 milestone on actual pictures with disposable camera's. Funny thing is one of my birthday present is an actual analog camera ha.

I've bought 3 different kinds of disposables for testing: Kodak, Afga Lebox and Harman ILFORD SUC XP2 SUPER. I'm not an expert in these camera's and this was my first time shooting with it. So this whole test is based on an amateur point of view ha. Please do check out my findings down below.

Blank negatives
Firstly I was so bumped out to let these disposables camera`s develop and a huge of the negatives were blank. I was looking forward of the cat photograph which I shot with one of the disposable camera`s but sadly didn`t made it through the development. Mostly I`m being an amature and I was using the disposable incorrectly but then again this was a test and trial proces for me and hoping for the best. I also think some of them were blank because of the overexposure of just being too dark. Anyways this again is a trial and error game and I might know what to do next time? Fingers crossed.
AGFAPHOTO LEBOX FLASH €9,99
This gave me the most photo`s (19 out of 27) and I quite like the ones that made it. The photo`s has a nice white hazy look on it which I like. It gives the pics a bit retro vibe to it. Also I think the Agfaphoto Lebox does a better job in close ups (like food shots) than the Kodak one. Overall not a bad camera!

Kodak Fun Saver €11,99
Despite the 12 free extra shots that came with this Kodak Fun Saver that brought me a total of 39 frames, I only got 20 from it and that sucks. Perhaps not a fun saver at all. The pictures however have an excellent contrast with great colours and sharpness. The portrait shots with flash works super well in the dark places. Better than Agfa Lebox if you ask me. An important reminder is that this camera has an ISO 800 so make sure the flash is off or you`ll have an overexposure and blank film roll.

on a food-date, me in Antwerp and below are my birthday shots with loved ones | december 2019.

HARMAN ILFORD SUC XP2 €15,99
This disposable gives black and white photo`s which I thought it`s a cool idea if all came out well developed. I sadly only got 13 out of 27 exposures and left with many blank negatives. When flash is turned on and you shoot it at a dark place it creates a nice sharp contrast of black and white. Without it, it gives a grainy retro look on the photo`s. It doesn`t do well indoor especially without the flash. The photo`s turn so dark! I`d suggest with this B&W disposable to turn your flash on most of the time though does doe a fine job when outside on broad daylight.

random buildings of Antwerp, my birthday, Christmas lunch at home, my knitting proces and an attempt selfie | again december 2019.

I got my disposables developed at this Dutch chain pharmacy called `Kruidvat`. It`s a looot cheaper than getting it developed at an actual camera store. I even get a cd-rom with all my photo`s init for digital purposes. Awesome! Except my laptop doesn`t have a cd or a dvd player #whoops
Any tips are welcome!
