DIY: with wooden beads (2/4)

So here's my 2nd DIY with the hexagon icosahedron shaped wooden beads that Pandahall once again send to me. Thank you again! In my 1st DIY I've shown you of what you can do with these beads, please check it out here if you haven't yet! Some of you might already know the 2nd DIY which will involve basic crocheting.

I don't know why but wood & yarn makes an excellent combination, a bit aesthetic pleasure to the eye I guess.

I have seen crochet beads on the www before and so this DIY is also a bucketlist item of mine. And again all you need is your basic crochet skills to succeed it! Feel free to bookmark my DIY and try it out someday!

Hier is hij dan mijn 2e DIY met de zeshoek icosaëder vormgegeven houten kralen die Pandahall mij toegestuurd heeft, heel erg bedankt! In mijn 1e DIY heb ik laten zien wat je met deze kralen kunt doen, mocht je het hebben gemist geen nood: klik hier! Waarschijnlijk weten sommige van jullie wat de 2e DIY zich inhoudt. Juist ja, er gaat wat gehaakt worden!

Garen en hout - wat een mooie combinatie toch? Heerlijk esthetisch effect!

Gehaakte kralen ben ik al eerder tegengekomen op de www en eigenlijk is deze DIY ook een bucketlist item van mijzelf. Daarnaast heb je alleen maar de basic haak skills nodig! Voel je vrij om deze DIY uit te proberen!

You need:
wooden beads, thin yarn for example: embroidery yarn (I`ve used Katia `syros` #72), 1.5 - 2.0mm crochet hook pen, pair of scissors

Let`s do this!
1. R1: magic loop + ch. 5
2. R2: 2x sc. in each st. (10)
3. R3. 1x sc. in first st. then 2x sc. in next st. then repeat (15)
4. R4 - R6: 1x sc. whole round (15)
5. R7: 1x sc. in the first st. then 1x dec. in next st. then repeat (10)
6. R8: 1x dec whole round, leave a tail and cut it off with scissors then tuck the tail inside the hole of the bead and you`re done! Good job.

EN Or you can call them ‘scrubbies’ but I use them to create whip cream for my crochet cakes and cupcakes! They also make great home decorations by putting them into a maison jar! Did I just inspire you to make them as a gift for your friend, mum, girlfriend..? I’ll say: go for it! DIY: Crochet banana

EN This week is officially my back-to-work week from my 6 wonderful weeks off Summer break. And like always it takes some time to adjust, to get my inner work engine warmed up again and like always take a deep breath. It’s kind of the same feeling going back to school but instead of school it’s work. Yay. Since it’s my first work week and it’s first of September why not kick it off with a DIY post. DIY: Crochet Miniature Cinnamon Rolls

EN It’s holidays and Liberation Days in The Netherlands and with all these delicious day offs, I’ve finally got more time to do my yarn works. And yes sleeping in late is also great. But mostly I’ve been really productive with my yarn works, whereas the most recent ones - the puff pastry/Danish I have received a fair amount of likes and sweet comments on my social media. Thank you! Being productive means also I take effort and time in perfecting my yarn works but not too hard to make luckily!
