DIY: Perfume bottle necklace (Mothers Day!)

EN

Perfume sample bottles are small and cute and this tickled my recycle mood. Hence today’s DIY post!

I love receiving perfume bottle samples or any other samples from shops or from people but who doesn’t like getting freebies?

Anyway back to the sample bottles.
Are the bottles empty? Good! Don’t throw them away because we are going to make good use of the bottles and turn them into a jewelry piece by wearing it around your neck! And I’ll be showing you how to make it in this post.

And since Mothers Day is coming up, this could be a nice personal present as well for your perfume loving mum!

Instructions:
  1. Dismantle the pump/spray from the sample bottles.
  2. Add the (hot - cautions!) glue on the top rim and place a small chains around the rim against the glue. Press the chain against it for extra secure. Cut off the leftover tail of the chain and attach a ring on the end of it. Make two.
  3. It's time to build the sample bottles next to each other so add hot glue length wise on the side of the sample bottle. Stick the 2nd bottle to it and repeat this process if you want to make it longer necklace. End your necklace with the 2nd bottle you have made on step 2.
  4. Attach chains on the rings with one end: lobster claw and other end: extension end.

My hand, my work table the entire house smelled like a beauty shop.

I am a little bit bumped out about the color of the glue: it's icky yellow. Oh well.

 Finished!
