Project: Rosewater Cupcakes
EN
Cupcakes with roses in it. Real
roses. If this isn’t a princess worthy cupcake then I don’t know what will
be.
As you guys might have seen
in the previous posts/Instagram, I’ve made cupcakes with rosewater + dried
rosebuds! Lets face it, I don’t really like baking cupcakes because of the effort
at the decorating part, and that people eat it in one bite and effort gone
into the stomach. That’s why I prefer baking muffins for example.
But! I recently I’ve bought
rosewater at
They were delicious!

Da Recipe (makes 12): 220gr self raising flour, 210gr soft butter (room temperture), 200gr sugar, 3 tsp. rosewater, 4 eggs
Icing: 250ml cream, 4 tbsp. icing sugar, 1 tsp. rosewater, red food coloring (optional), dried rosebuds (optional)
How I make my own paper cups: cut baking papers in big squares and press 2 of them per cup!
2 happy colors!
Sorry, I think I've over whipped the pink cream a bit :c I'm gonna use creamcheese the next time for buttercream!
Soak the dried rose buds for about an hour if you want to achieve a soft texture with a bit crunchiness.
Da Steps:
- Pre-heat oven to 180°C and line papercups in a 12 muffin pan.
- Beat the butter with the sugar until pale, creamy and sugar a bit dissolving. Add in all 4 eggs and beat it.
- Then add in the flour and 3 tsp. rosewater and beat everything until well combined and fluffy!
- Scoop them into the pre-pared papercups in the muffin pan and bake the cupcakes for 20 minutes until golden brown (I flipped the muffin pan after 10 minute for a more incorporated baking)
- Cool the cupcakes completely (I let them cool down near an open window)
- optional: I used 2 colored whipped cream: white and pink, so I devided the 250 in two: 125ml white and 125ml for pink colored cream. Not feeling this combo, you can leave it entirely white or pink.
- Whip cream with the 4 tbsp of icing sugar and 1 tsp. rosewater. Handmixer on its lowest speed!
- Put the cream in the piping bag with any desired nozzle. Pipe them on the cooled down cupcakes.
- Decorate them with icing sugar and ready soaked rosebuds!
Good luck!
Soft and fluffy Rose Cupcakes - would love to taste them right out of these amazing photographs x3

These look fabulous! I love rosewater (you should try rosewater ice cream!) & this looks wonderful. The cupcakes turned out fantastic & the decor (even though you said you hated decorating the cupcake) looks great! I like the less fluffy frosting though so I'd probably go for that instead of the fluffy frosting. Pretty cupcakes nevertheless. Wonderful adventures in baking!
ReplyDeleteOh my god lol. You and I are so totally on the same wavelength. I bought rose water like, 1 month ago with the intent to use it in some desserts but I haven't had time to experiment. These look sooooo delicious. And yes, cream cheese frosting is THE best. I have a recipe on my blog if you want one, it's with my mini chocolate cupcakes.
ReplyDeleteWow, they look so pretty. I've never tried it with rosewater, but I'm going to see if I can find some rose water at the store next time.
ReplyDeleteWow, these are beautiful! Almost too beautiful to eat! ^__^ Great job! Always love your posts!
