HOTSPOT 12: Together Cafe
I'm in Hong Kong at the moment
for an important family visit. Apart from that, I've been spoiling my
mouth with delicious food as well. I think Hong Kong is pretty
much famous for its culinary delights and the very affordable prices.
Like for example: most restaurants here offers meals which often includes
a free drink (tea, coffee etc.) and a side dish. All for 1 price!
The same goes for this 'Together Cafe' which is an Western
style restaurant. My HK family was pretty in shock after hearing I quite
eating chicken (I only eat seafood in the meat section) and are afraid
I don't get enough nutrients. Too be honest, I feel much healthier
and energetic since I cut out the chicken and gain at eating vegetables.
Below you'll find quite bad quality pictures and ugly high ISO dots.
My apologizes! Its because of the very humid Hong Kong weather, in
combination with air conditioning, making my camera lens super hazy
and dampy, forcing me to adjust a high ISO rate... oh I hate
high ISO rate.
I've ordered this spaghetti with assorted mushroom in cream sauce. In combination with a free ovaltine drink.
The food seems to be slapped down on the plate, but it tastes de-li-cious!
I forgot what my aunt has ordered, but she finds it tasty as well! In combination with a free coffee.

Some side dishes: vegetable curry triangles & deep fried fish fingers. They tasted okay yet common. And definitely not homemade.

Haha I know right, Hong Kong food are the best. Seriously, everything from $3 sandwiches to the more fancy schmancy 5 star restaurant stuff are all so good.
ReplyDeleteThe food looks amazing. I'm so hungry right now lol

by the way that dog is cute
The pictures still look great to me. Wahh, I wanna go there. >.> Now I'm hungry.
ReplyDeleteOh man this food looks good! Loving the look of the pastas you and your aunt got.
ReplyDeleteHope you're enjoying Hong Kong!
I think your pictures still turn out lovely despite what you say about the ISO. You cut off chicken and other meat from your diet? I agree that it somehow makes you feel more energetic when you consume less heavy products.
ReplyDeleteFood looks great - I love cheap little restaurants, often they are the best! Love the pics despite you saying your camera was really struggling in the humidity!
ReplyDeleteYummy food photos! :D

I'm so jealous of you! This summer I'm staying home so I'm living through travel blogs :) But that makes me want to travel more!
ReplyDeleteWhat's the special occasion? Is someone getting married?
Btw what is the round brown food on the second photo, it looks like a kroket!
So jealous! I'm staying home this summer so am looking at a lot of travel blogs, which is a bad idea because it makes me want to travel more!
ReplyDeleteIs someone in your family getting married? Was the first thing I thought of when you mentioned important family event!
I want to go to a wedding too..

Mei you look great! I got back from HK a couple of weeks ago aand I'm going again in a few weeks :) I wish I knew HK better to check out the restaurant ^^ I just ate mcdonalds and went to Hui Lau Shan XD
ReplyDeleteAll the food looks yummy especially that baked dish! Omg that's what high ISO does to photos??? >< Then mines does it very often too and I never knew that's whats causing the "fuzzy" photos, thanks so much for the info, I know I'm such a bad photographer >< Are you on a pescatarianism diet now? Or just cut out chicken, I'm glad it's making you feel healthier!
ReplyDeleteYay a hong kong related post! I love HK, its people, street food, everything :) this post gets me excited for my upcoming HK trip :) too bad I'll be living in Causeway Bay, in Central and this cafe's located in the New Territories district :(
