Project: Dutch (green tea) egg cake

EN

Hey another Dutch egg cake recipe because they are easy to make and very delicious. For the first recipe, click here! For my 2nd time I’ve made them even more delicious by adding one of my favourite flavour: matcha green tea powder! Now it’s a simple egg cake with green tea flavour. Still very Dutch with a little bit Asian in it, enjoy!

Hey!
The Recipe
2 eggs
85gr sugar (original 100gr)
100gr flour
2 tbsp matcha green tea powder
1 tsp. baking powder
pinch of salt
Thick batter but make sure not to overwhip the batter!

The Steps
1. Preheat oven to 180ºC. Beat egg with sugar until pale and creamy.
2. Add matcha green tea powder and baking powder to the flour and mix well. Then add to the egg mixture and whip up everything. 3. With a big spoon, scoop up 4-6 batter on a lined baking tray. Make sure to keep a certain space between.
4. Bake for around 10 min in the oven.

  6. Have you ever had a dorayaki? It's a red bean paste sweet pancake which consists of two small, round patties made from castella and in between is the red bean paste. These kinda remind me of the round patties of the dorayaki!
