A hot weather day makes me lazy and slow(cooked) and today was that day (20°C). I also had to work today and luckily bearable since me and my pupils got the chance to play outside in the sunny weather and me catching vitamin D.
I’m glad it’s finally getting warmer and hurray: TGIF!

Another working week is done!

My reward of a working day is usually a good snack or two, followed with music, yarn works and pencil works. Oh and farming! My current basils are still growing strong at my window.
My hair and particularly my bangs turned into curtains for my eyes and.

I’m also looking forward for upcoming Sunday as I’m going to a pop-up market with crafty blogger Carmen from Craftyqueens! I can’t wait and see you there!

Warme dagen maken me lui en ontzettend gaar en vandaag is het zo,n dag (20°C). Ik keek er sinds maandag al naar uit! Ik moest vandaag ook werken en maar gelukkig draaglijk want samen met mijn leerlingen konden zijn buiten spelen en tegelijkertijd vitamine D absorberen net als ik!
Ik ben blij dat het eindelijk warmer wordt en hoera: TGIF!

Alweer een werkweek geklaard!

Mijn beloning voor mezelf na een werkdag is lekker snacken, gevolgd door muziek en daarna even haken en schetsen.
En natuurlijk niet te vergeten mijn basilicum’s! Die leven en groeien nog steeds gelukkig. Daarnaast groeit mijn haar en vooral mijn pony door en die vormen ondertussen een gordijn voor mijn ogen.

En ik heb zin in aankomend zondag! Ik ga namelijk naar een pop-up market met een crafty blogger Carmen van Craftyqueens! Ik kan niet wachten en ik zie je daar!

    Hah wow your bangs are really long! Mine grew out without me realizing it too so I no longer have any & it's fine. You seem to have a good face shape for bangs - they definitely will complement your features better than if you didn't, I'd think!

    Nice to see your basils are growing! I love gardening too. Anxiously awaiting for more of my lavender to sprout. Planted basil too, but it looks like it's not growing. :( Those green tea flavored snacks look delicious!!

    Such beautiful weather! Unfortunately it's been so grey and rainy here recently, I always have trouble getting up in the morning! Your bangs are so silly hehe :)

    Ah! I'm so jealous of your basil plant! I wish such herbs would grow properly in singapore! While your fringe grows out, mine is down to my chin! But i'm totally thinking of getting a full fringe, haven't had one in years!

EN Or you can call them ‘scrubbies’ but I use them to create whip cream for my crochet cakes and cupcakes! They also make great home decorations by putting them into a maison jar! Did I just inspire you to make them as a gift for your friend, mum, girlfriend..? I’ll say: go for it! NL Of ze worden ook wel ‘scrubbies’ genoemd en ze zijn bedoeld om je lichaam mee te wassen en te scrubben. Maar mijn versie is klein en dienen ze als toefjes slagroom op mijn gehaakte taartjes en cupcakes! Ook doen ze aardig als huis decoraties bijvoorbeeld in een leuke glazen pot! Ik zou zeggen: maak ze voor je vriendin, mama, GF!  Echt een leuk blij makerij c:    You need:  Cotton yarn or wool ,  crochet hook (cotton = 2 - 3 mm, wool = 3 - 4 mm) ,  scissor ,  needle       I've actually stuffed a bit of stuffing in it.    The Steps: Row 1: chain 11 Row 2: skip first stitch and start with the 2nd stitch (see picture)

EN This week is officially my back-to-work week from my 6 wonderful weeks off Summer break. And like always it takes some time to adjust, to get my inner work engine warmed up again and like always take a deep breath. It’s kind of the same feeling going back to school but instead of school it’s work. Yay. Since it’s my first work week and it’s first of September why not kick it off with a DIY post. You know to keep our mind working! And this time I take you guys through another fruity crochet tutorial where this time it’s all about the bananas! Happy bunch of bananas because a banana provides good energy to our body, anti-stress and of course is a good snack for every monkeyheads like us! DIY: Crochet Miniature Cinnamon Rolls

EN It’s holidays and Liberation Days in The Netherlands and with all these delicious day offs, I’ve finally got more time to do my yarn works. And yes sleeping in late is also great. But mostly I’ve been really productive with my yarn works, whereas the most recent ones - the puff pastry/Danish I have received a fair amount of likes and sweet comments on my social media. Thank you! Being productive means also I take effort and time in perfecting my yarn works but not too hard to make luckily! Especially the snail rolls (cinnamon rolls/pain aux raisin) are really easy and fun to make.
