Project: French Toast
EN
Do you know what I found at
my local supermarket lately: squary breadslices! I felt like Squidward from
Spongebob when he finally found his beloved canned bread, ha. You know that
episode?
Anyway, I’m sure square
breads are very common in many other countries, I was pretty happy with
finding it.
Because now I can make
perfect looking French toast!
Thank you for sharing your tips
and advice about the e-readers/e-books! I like the idea that it is a lot less
space consuming in your bag, but I’d also miss the touch of paperback on my
hands as well. Perhaps it will be a 50/50 thing. I still want my mini library

Also, thanks for your sandal
shopping suggestions as well!

gebruikelijk is in vele andere landen.
maken!

Da Recipe: 2 (old) breadslices, 1 large egg, 1 tbsp. milk, neutral oil, pinch of salt, any desired topping
I let the bread 'harden' up in the open air first, so they wont be too soggy when going in the egg bath.
I fancied mine up with: sweetened condensed milk and fresh fruits!
Tomorrows DIY c:
Da Steps:- Whisk egg with the 1 tablespoon milk and salt together in a deep plate.
- Soak both sides of the breadslice in this egg mixture
- Heat up a frying pan/skillet with neutral oil on medium heat.
- Place the soaked eggybread in the pan and fry them each side for about 2-3 minutes until they are golden brown.
- Serve with your favorite topping and dressing like fresh fruit, syrup, chocolatesauce, icing sugar and butter!
Good luck!
Are those bread slices that common? I have never seen it in Germany (maybe I have to take a closer look at pastries section). Anyways, I love french toast and your version looks so delicious! :)
