A day in Utrecht
-
EN
Yesterday I was in the Dutch city Utrecht alongside with good company of two friends. We went for orientation at an university. Me and friends are considering to get a master degree hence we went to check out this orientation day. After that we didn't went straight back home. Oh no. We went relaxing, shopping and eating in this beautiful city Utrecht and that pretty much was the highlight of this weekend. Hows your weekend so far going?

Hoe is jou weekend dusver?

We drove
Since I only got my driving licence for just over a year I didn`t feel to confident driving on a 2 to 4 lane highway from country land hometown to a big city like Utrecht. So A. took over the steering wheel and about 1 hour and 15 min in the car me, A. and K. have arrived. All safe and sound.
It`s all about the all-you-can-eat breakfast
buffet
Our first stop was to grab breakfast that was just 8,90 bucks! Whoot!
More of this coming soon.
Turkish coffee.
#notnutella
This is sweet `tahini molasses` spread and it`s super delish!
Sharing is caring but I took the strawberry ha.
Utrecht
Why I sometimes prefer you over Amsterdam. Utrecht you were was rainy, sunny but most importantly friendly warm.

Something serious
Time to be a tad serious because the main reason for me, A. and K. to go all the way to Utrecht was orientation day about master degree of education at this BCN building.
Here we are with many cups of caffeine serious thinking about getting back to school and dreaming about having a master degree in the pocket. That would not look bad at all in my CV am I right?
After this master degree orientation thing we decided to grab a snack and more caffeine at Starbucks.
Then we left for Utrecht again
Spotting Piet Mondriaan street art work for free.
€60 damage at Other Stories.
Yikes and more damages were made. #dontworrypaycheckisnextweek was the mantra.
Again this is not Amsterdam. Utrecht is much neater.
@I Melt For you ❤❤❤❤❤ 4/5
"One yogurt with figs ice cream please!"
How to end a day in Utrecht? With ice cream of course.
Have you decided to pursue a masters degree? :D All the food looks so delish! As you know, food is always my favourite part of any trip ;P -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey's
Me too, haha! Of course I didn't know you were there too, so I wasn't paying attention, but I think I might have still recognized you had our pathes crossed...
Anyway, I had a blast and it looks like you did too:) And such lovely weather, wasn't it?!
EN Or you can call them ‘scrubbies’ but I use them to create whip cream for my crochet cakes and cupcakes! They also make great home decorations by putting them into a maison jar! Did I just inspire you to make them as a gift for your friend, mum, girlfriend..? I’ll say: go for it! Echt een leuk blij makerij c: You need: Cotton yarn or wool , crochet hook (cotton = 2 - 3 mm, wool = 3 - 4 mm) , scissor , needle I've actually stuffed a bit of stuffing in it. The Steps: Row 1: chain 11 Row 2: skip first stitch and start with the 2nd stitch (see picture)
EN This week is officially my back-to-work week from my 6 wonderful weeks off Summer break. And like always it takes some time to adjust, to get my inner work engine warmed up again and like always take a deep breath. It’s kind of the same feeling going back to school but instead of school it’s work. Yay. Since it’s my first work week and it’s first of September why not kick it off with a DIY post. You know to keep our mind working! And this time I take you guys through another fruity crochet tutorial where this time it’s all about the bananas! Happy bunch of bananas because a banana provides good energy to our body, anti-stress and of course is a good snack for every monkeyheads like us! Like always I tend to keep it simple and this banana crochet is very novice, I promise. And if not you can always leave a comment or a mail for questioning. Please try it out! NL Deze week is mijn eerste werk week weer begonnen na een heerli
EN It’s holidays and Liberation Days in The Netherlands and with all these delicious day offs, I’ve finally got more time to do my yarn works. And yes sleeping in late is also great. But mostly I’ve been really productive with my yarn works, whereas the most recent ones - the puff pastry/Danish I have received a fair amount of likes and sweet comments on my social media. Thank you! Being productive means also I take effort and time in perfecting my yarn works but not too hard to make luckily! Especially the snail rolls (cinnamon rolls/pain aux raisin) are really easy and fun to make. And because sharing is caring, I’m sharing you my little secret of making these crochet cinnamon rolls!
