Last week I was back at Round & Round also my favorite café of Rotterdam because they had a weekend specialty in their menu. It was matcha  (green tea) involved and it's no secret that I like to try out new sweet matcha things so here are my thoughts and happening about it.

Vorige week was ik terug bij Round & Round, oftewel mijn favoriete café van Rotterdam want ze hadden een weekend specialiteit op het menu staan! Het was met matcha (groene thee) en ik probeer sowieso nieuwe zoete dingen. Vooral met matcha dus hieronder mijn bevindingen erover.

This was a weekend specialty and I just had to try it out and so I went to R&R last weekend what appears to be sold out at first! What!? Luckily one of the R&R ladies told me that the next batch would be ready in 5 minutes and of course I have the patience for that. I was super relieved! Maybe it was a great timing after all because this also means I get to have a super fresh cake. And no sooner said than done, the chiffon sandwich was done and served within the announched time ready to be eaten. Hurray!

The chiffon sandwich was wrapped up nicely in paper and the azuki bean filling was generously filled up. The cake itself was amazingly fluffy and not too sweet with subtle green tea flavor sending my belly to a happy place. Yum!
Spicy chai tea

Alongside with a nice cuppa tea. Could have been more spicier in my opinion but overall very refreshing one!
Because most tables were taken, I had to share a table with a company that had hightea together. Actually I was the one crashing this party but o well, the company didn`t seems to be bothered but I made sure I finished my food faster.

EN Or you can call them ‘scrubbies’ but I use them to create whip cream for my crochet cakes and cupcakes! They also make great home decorations by putting them into a maison jar! Did I just inspire you to make them as a gift for your friend, mum, girlfriend..? I’ll say: go for it! NL Of ze worden ook wel ‘scrubbies’ genoemd en ze zijn bedoeld om je lichaam mee te wassen en te scrubben. Maar mijn versie is klein en dienen ze als toefjes slagroom op mijn gehaakte taartjes en cupcakes! Ook doen ze aardig als huis decoraties bijvoorbeeld in een leuke glazen pot! Ik zou zeggen: maak ze voor je vriendin, mama, GF!  Echt een leuk blij makerij c:    You need:  Cotton yarn or wool ,  crochet hook (cotton = 2 - 3 mm, wool = 3 - 4 mm) ,  scissor ,  needle       I've actually stuffed a bit of stuffing in it.    The Steps: Row 1: chain 11 Row 2: skip first stitch and start with the 2nd stitch (see picture)

DIY: Crochet banana

EN This week is officially my back-to-work week from my 6 wonderful weeks off Summer break. And like always it takes some time to adjust, to get my inner work engine warmed up again and like always take a deep breath. It’s kind of the same feeling going back to school but instead of school it’s work. Yay. Since it’s my first work week and it’s first of September why not kick it off with a DIY post. You know to keep our mind working! And this time I take you guys through another fruity crochet tutorial where this time it’s all about the bananas! DIY: Crochet Miniature Cinnamon Rolls

EN It’s holidays and Liberation Days in The Netherlands and with all these delicious day offs, I’ve finally got more time to do my yarn works. And yes sleeping in late is also great. But mostly I’ve been really productive with my yarn works, whereas the most recent ones - the puff pastry/Danish I have received a fair amount of likes and sweet comments on my social media. Thank you! Being productive means also I take effort and time in perfecting my yarn works but not too hard to make luckily! Especially the snail rolls (cinnamon rolls/pain aux raisin) are really easy and fun to make.
