Yarnfood: Avocado

I love eating an avocado but I rarely eat just an avocado. Usually its accompanied with something else. Like a yummy egg! Which is one of my favorite breakfast or brunch dishes. Tomorrow is Sunday so I think I'm going to treat myself that.

I love eating an avocado because it not only taste good with an egg but  it's also super healthy but I think you already know that. It's contains good fat that every human bodies needs for example.

I love eating an avocado because funny enough an avocado is not a vegetable but a fruit! I'm not sure but I've read somewhere you can also eat the avocado seed? Anyway. The avocado has inspired me in my most recent yarnfood projects and I've hooked myself an avocado! I just love eating avocados.

Ik eet graag een avocado maar zelden eet ik alleen een avocado. Meestal is de avocado vergezelschapt met iets, zoals een lekker ei! Dit is ook een van mijn favoriete ontbijt/brunch maaltijd. Morgen is het zondag misschien ga ik mezelf eens verwennen met zo,n maaltijd.

Ik eet graag een avocado, want het is niet alleen lekker maar ook erg gezond. Ja, natuurlijk wisten jullie dat. Het bevat onder andere goede vetten die iedereen nodig heeft.

Ik eet graag een avocado. Het is namelijk geen groente maar fruit! Ik heb ook ergens gelezen dat je die grote avocado zaad ook kunt opeten. De avocado is mijn inspiratie geweest om deze schattige mini avocado te haken. Ik eet nou graag avocados.

EN Or you can call them ‘scrubbies’ but I use them to create whip cream for my crochet cakes and cupcakes! They also make great home decorations by putting them into a maison jar! Did I just inspire you to make them as a gift for your friend, mum, girlfriend..? I’ll say: go for it! NL Of ze worden ook wel ‘scrubbies’ genoemd en ze zijn bedoeld om je lichaam mee te wassen en te scrubben. Maar mijn versie is klein en dienen ze als toefjes slagroom op mijn gehaakte taartjes en cupcakes! Ook doen ze aardig als huis decoraties bijvoorbeeld in een leuke glazen pot! Ik zou zeggen: maak ze voor je vriendin, mama, GF!  Echt een leuk blij makerij c:    You need:  Cotton yarn or wool ,  crochet hook (cotton = 2 - 3 mm, wool = 3 - 4 mm) ,  scissor ,  needle       I've actually stuffed a bit of stuffing in it.    The Steps: Row 1: chain 11 Row 2: skip first stitch and start with the 2nd stitch (see picture)

DIY: Crochet banana

EN This week is officially my back-to-work week from my 6 wonderful weeks off Summer break. And like always it takes some time to adjust, to get my inner work engine warmed up again and like always take a deep breath. It’s kind of the same feeling going back to school but instead of school it’s work. Yay. Since it’s my first work week and it’s first of September why not kick it off with a DIY post. You know to keep our mind working! And this time I take you guys through another fruity crochet tutorial where this time it’s all about the bananas! Happy bunch of bananas because a banana provides good energy to our body, anti-stress and of course is a good snack for every monkeyheads like us! DIY: Crochet Miniature Cinnamon Rolls

EN It’s holidays and Liberation Days in The Netherlands and with all these delicious day offs, I’ve finally got more time to do my yarn works. And yes sleeping in late is also great. But mostly I’ve been really productive with my yarn works, whereas the most recent ones - the puff pastry/Danish I have received a fair amount of likes and sweet comments on my social media. Thank you! Being productive means also I take effort and time in perfecting my yarn works but not too hard to make luckily!
