Peek Into My Life 67

EN

A broken piece of technology makes you powerless. Hey where was I? O yes my laptop got crashed last week all of sudden and that leads to no fresh blog post until now. I don’t get technology sometimes, because my laptop worked fine the other day and the next day it refused to turn on. Total blackness. And I have no idea what the cause is but it’s fixed for now.

My laptop is 6 years old now. I even did a little blogpost about it as well long long time ago. I’m quite careful with my stuff (though I knocked out the F6 key while I was cleaning the keyboard) but maybe my laptop starts to age.

Sigh, I have to reinstall so many programs! And I have so many blogs to read and to catch up too! Luckily I am having 2 weeks holiday now so I have all the time I need to catch up. Hopefully you missed my posts, even it’s just a bit. Here’s a post about what I’ve been up to lately!

Voorlopig.

Mijn laptop is 6 jaar oud.

CAFÉ TIME (always a good topic to start with)
It was Saturday and I`m back to Koffie Café Koek! My last time here was a while ago where I also did a hotspot post about it. `Koek` means cookie in Dutch and I was feeling for one! Here I`ve ordered the `Hello Caramelo` coffee that the lovely barista lady suggested me and a cherry traycake. Sorry, no cookie after all.
By the way, the Hello Caramelo which is coffee with a shot of caramel syrup init is delicious! No extra sugar added needed!

At work I did...
My class had a field trip to a nearby goat farm to see the baby goats! It was pretty fun and smelly at the same time.

Sleepovers means: food, games, beauty, food and of course sleep

Food & friends
A catch up dinner with a girlfriend. Dinner was delicious! Especially the dessert.
Sooo Delicious is another café that I always wanted to check it out and I finally did it with another girlfriend and we got ourself 2 coffee, a lemon cake with poppy seed and a slice of brownie. The cakes were really good! Sooo Delicious is a small shop with only 2 tables and unfortunately they were occupied. Hence we did a take out here, which was not a bad thing because we love eating and drinking outside in the sun!

Still alife
This is a Chinese vegetable `pak choi` that I`m going to plant in my backyard! Fingers crossed!
This is not my cat or chickens unfortunately but they are from my friend who went on vacation and I had the opportunity to babysit them.
First time eating purple Brussels sprouts!
Sushi tryout at some supermarket.
I was in the Dutch city The Hague last month on the same day where the horrible terrorist attack happend in Brussel. The city had an eerie feel to it and there were lots of police surveillance around. Our head Dutch government building is located in The Hague and I wasn`t really afraid but I hoped there wont be any bombing in The Hague or elswhere.
My cheap yoga mat died on me.

  2. 6 years is pretty impressive! My Toshiba laptop is 7 years old (eckkk) and is more symbolic I feel. Ha it needs to be permanently plugged in and it turns on 50% of the time, the other 50% of the time it just does this really weird beeping noise.

The purple brussel sprouts look so interesting! Like art

  5. Looks like you had a very eventful week!
Sorry about your laptop, technology can be fickle sometimes. My phone decided to die on me yesterday, and now I'll be phone-less for about a week and a half until it gets fixed. Oh well.

  7. Oh my, all the food in this post is making my stomach grumble (it's almost lunchtime here!). I really like the drawing of that girl you did. I'm a sucker for those beautiful graphite drawings - very drawn to the shading you've done there.

It's awful when laptops die. This happened to me all the time when I had Dell laptops. Maybe switch to a different brand?

  8. You've had your laptop for quite awhile! Mine is about two years old. Hopefully it'll keep lasting me a long time :) I keep running out of storage space though, so I'm planning reorganize my files and move some things to an external hard-drive. I probably won't get around to doing this until I get off for summer break in 3 weeks though. I hope you have a great 2-week holiday! Cafes are always a good time :) -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey's

  9. Loving this roundup and wow you seriously always post the best food. So sorry to hear that your laptop is dying :( As bloggers and creatives we are so connected to the internet it is so hard to exist when our technology fails us. I urge you to go out and buy an external harddrive though - and back up everything NOW! It may seem like a lot of money but it will be worth it when the computer crashes again and WON'T turn back on (I learned this the hard way, but was luckily able to recover the harddrive but the laptop was toast)

Technology can be our greatest ally and inhibitor. It’s amazing when it suddenly breaks down on you, but it’s good to have you back!

That sandwich at Boguette looks oh, oh so good. Now I have a craving.

RIP, O yoga mat. You have done your job.
