Festa Major de Gràcia // Festival Gràcia

EN

And my meeting up with my blogger friends ‘The Cat You and Us’ continues! After breakfast and my first time riding the subway of Barcelona, Damaris and Dani took me to an annual neighbourhood festival called the ‘Gracia Festival’. I have never been to this festivity before but hearing the name made me pretty excited.

The Gracia Festival is a street festival where people in this neighbourhood dress their up street according to a theme and the best decorated street wins a prize! One of the important requirements for decoration is using recycled materials, a requirement that I sure like and support!

I must say, the people of Gracia sure have explosive creative ideas! The streets were super colourful, inspiring and all street has their own uniqueness. Clearly me and The Cat You and Us have our favourite street and no surprisingly it’s Japanese-themed. Scroll down to see it!

En mijn ontmoeting met mijn blogvrienden ‘The Cat You and Us’ zet voort!

Wel is het duidelijk dat ik en The Cat You and Us een favoriete straat hebben en niet verrassend dat het een Japanse thema heeft. Scroll naar beneden om het te zien!

 The Japan street!
Let me take you first to 'Verdi street' with their Japan themed street and also the winner of the 2015 best decorated street of Gracia Festival! I fully agree with the judges because, well, please scroll down to see it because there are some things that blew my mind away. Such as the pastel ceiling made out of bubble wrappers, a dragon and the flag of Japan made out of cd cases.
Creative with bubble wraps! Beyond mesmerizing.

Made from recycled cans.

 Recycle is awesome!

I'm happy to have free guidance from Damaris and Dani guiding me through Gracia neighbourhood  c:

One of the coolest recycled artwork I have seen with sauce samples!

Hiya friends!
At first I thought I was walking on floral petals but as I look more carefully they are not!

I really adore Damaris' cutecutecute shoulderbag! And their professional look on photography and taking pictures too c:

A festival aint a festival without...
One of the many foodstands I have spotted.

Witnessing a human tower! It was very impressive too because the most top person was actually a kid! Clearly not having fear of height. The crowd level here was also impressive.

Me and the cutie wearing my strawberry brooch!
