The bricks, cement and steel of Barcelona
EN
Another throwback day in Barcelona
summer 2015 which is another full day of leg exercise that only consist of
lots of walking and taking pictures. In a sunny scorching sun too.
Where did we go this time? I
can tell: lots of culture, architect and history.
From our hotel we walked the
following streets: Avinguda del Paral, La Rambla, over the boulevard (more
soon) and we visited the Palau Güell building which is designed by Gaudi. And
you’ve guessed it; it’s a very nice building! This time we bought tickets to
go inside and explored the building literally from head to toe. It was quite
a nice and learning activity!
Then we got hungry and thirsty
and ate café food at chain café called 365 Café (more soon too!).
And the rest? Lots of random
buildings and steel art works inside

We liepen vanuit ons hotel
hieronder laat zien!

Mercat de Sant Antoni: indoor market.
Reminds me of Mickey Mouse ears for some reason.

And another futuristic design between all the oldies.
Palau Güell
My family and myself were lucky and got our tickets with (student) discounts. It was really lucky and a bit naughty too because my student pass is already expired but the ticket seller didn't see it. Or didn't care. Anywho! The line for the Palau Güell was not terribly long either. Maybe because we enter the place at late afternoon. And yes! You are allowed to take pictures inside.
TIP: If you want, you can get a free audio device that gives information about all the rooms and chambers.
For a second I felt like a peasant wearing flip flops walking on this majestic rug.
A beautiful floor that leads to the basement.
The rooftop was one of my favorite part because of the view and the top pieces but be careful of the slippery tiles here. My flip flops lost a few grips a few times.
What a timing when me and my family went to the rooftop and it's about to rain and thunder! Odd Barcelona weather.

Looks like something out of Harry Potter. Hogwarts anyone?
