3 B's = Beach Boulevard Barcelona

EN

Barcelona is located at the Mediterranean Sea and has a beach that is 4km long and a real tourist magnet.
During our holiday last Summer we also pay a visit to the beach and the boulevard and enjoyed the sun and the cool breeze here. We only pay a visit and didn’t do any beach activities here such as swimming and baking in the sun because we didn’t plan it anyway and there was simply no room either. Unlike the beach in Rimini-Italy (more here) the Barcelona beach is jam packed and my guess is if you want to claim a spot, set your alarm and go really early.

Though it appears the seawater has a lovelier blue tint than the one in Rimini and honestly Holland too.

‘THE BEACH’ well, this is ticked off of our to-see list. After the beach we went to see the fishing district ‘La Barceloneta’. More of this in the next post!

Why I came to the beach is that bronze statue over there: El Peix, the 52 meter long gold fish sculpture!

I don't trust these.

Street art: graffiti

Apparently it is legal to pretty up the walls here!

  2. Wow, so many people on the beach! It's so cool that the place is free to graffiti up. I remember hearing about a place where it's legal to do that too, and it's a little bit bittersweet because you get to see all this cool art, but it may be gone the next day because someone might paint right over it! These pictures make me miss the warmth of summer!

  3. Ah, I really wanted to explore around the beach area and go on a street art walking tour, but we didn't have the chance to. Looks like the beach gets jam packed!
