I slept in Barcelona: Hotel H10

EN

Byebye November, hello December!

Mhmmm, I can still feel the freedom in my room because it was a room just for myself! Yep, my sleepovers at H10 Itaca hotel were lovely!

H10 Itaca hotel is part of the H10 hotel franchise. My family decided to go a bit fancy with our accommodations for our stay in Barcelona and I sure wasn’t complaining but mostly was thankful. I never am picky with stays (just be clean and affordable) and I’m happy with any accommodations really. You know I’m a hug fan of B&B’s too! So homey! But once in awhile an ish-star hotel stay like this one is healthy too.

As announced: a little small hotel tour + review here below!

My standard:
great ac
tv (didn't watch a single thing)
bathroom: bath tub/hairdryer/bidet/toiletries
minibar

I hoped for free hotel slippers but nope.

Benvinguda! (welcome!)

After a short walk from the Sants train station (so convenient) we rolled our self with our luggage into the hotel, checked in at the reception and chose our welcome drink. Very friendly and pragmatic hotel staff!
The hotel lobby is small but very nicely decorated. My favorite: the reading corner with comfy seats and lovely bookcase. And I'll admit the power socket near it too. There's also a bar for all your beverage needs and there's a internet corner with a printer!
Facilities:
A pool
A gym (no yoga mats)
Rooftop with jacuzzi (was broken)
Restaurant/bar/room service
Wi-fi
A supermarket

Breakfast at Bamboo restaurant
One of the fewest things I have seen in my life at a breakfast buffet: a candy buffet!

Breakfast at H10 Hotel was a buffet and a good one! They pretty much have everything of what you can find in a continental breakfast. Hotel staff keeps refills and restocks when food is running out.
The food changes slightly per day like change in fruit. Of course there is my favorite: baked beans! Unfortunate only served it for 1 day. Also on our 2nd day, they removed this Nespresso machine and replaced a regular coffee machine. Not sure if this has to do with high/low season as the breakfast room was getting emptier.
O and there's a supermarket right next to it too, nice!

And lastly with a superstitious tail: I didn't sleep well the first 2 nights because of this mirror because a mirror facing a bed is bad luck and it can steal your soul. Ha. ha.. ha.. goodnight!

  6. What a beautiful hotel room! And wow that breakfast looks incredible! I'd never heard of that superstition. Good thing because I have a big mirror on the inside of my closet door, and I never close my closet so it's always facing the bed. Haha!

  7. I'd have a field day with the candy buffet! Oh gosh, I don't mirrors in dark rooms... I get so paranoid about them because of the Bloody Mary thing. Even though I don't believe it. But it still creeps me out o,o -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey's
