Summer adventure in Rimini - day 1

EN

Rimini, an Italian city (nickname: Queen of the Adriaticthat might not ring a bell immediately.
It certainly didn’t ring me when my travel buddy F. suggested me to go to this town which is famous for the 20km beach and beachlife!
After a cultural and arty city trip in Florence I was down for a good lazy beach vacation so I was all in for this Rimini and plus, I like to explore new unknown places too.

We arrived somewhere noon in Rimini where the sun was at it’s peak. Our hotel was near the beachside and I can feel my body turn in relax mode every minute I was there. Especially spotting the peaceful sea horizon from my balcony. Where are the waves though!

Going to Rimini was not only my first time, this is probably my first real beach holiday as well. It made me realize that most of my holidays are city trips. What holiday person are you? But then again, we didn’t spend our full days at the beach of course. Rimini itself has a lot more to offer than the beachlife and we so we took the bus and went into town centre. And the town didn’t disappoint me so far!

Homemade breakfast

The hotel makes their own pastry and cakes which is something I value a lot. And they make yummy ones too!

Going to town!

Streetart or vandalism? I see both.

Markets & forts

Night beach walks were one of my favorites time spending.

  3. I'd never heard about Rimini before either but it looks nice! I'm more of a city-tripper too, mostly because Sydney has pretty good beaches already.

  4. Beaches always make me so relaxed. I don't go in the water but the atmosphere automatically just slows things down in my mind :) and i love nighttime on the boardwalk along the beach. i love how everything lights up and comes to life and totally throws a different kind of vibe than it was during day time :)
