6 ideas you can steal from beach towels

On my final work day before the summer break I have received sweet ‘thank-you-teacher’ gifts from my little pupils. I wasn’t expecting any gifts at all so you can tell I was happily surprised.

One of the kids gave me this beautiful handy linen beach towel which I’ll be bringing it with me in the upcoming holiday to Italy and Spain because something tells me I’ll be hanging out at the beach a lot.

If it wasn’t for this gift I don’t think I would buy a special beach towel because I’ll just use my own towels from home. But this beach towel is much lighter because it’s made of linen and it made me realize how functional and versatile it can be!

Here are my tips and ways of using a beach towel!

Op mijn laatste werkdag voordat de echte vakantie begint, heb ik 'dankjewel-(lieve) juf' cadeautjes gekregen van mijn kleine opdonders. Ik had sowieso geen cadeaus verwacht dus ik was zeer verrast en blij!

Een van de leerlingen gaf me dit mooie handige linnen strandlaken en deze ga ik zeker meenemen op vakantie naar Italië en Spanje. Want iets zegt me dat ik vaak op het strand zal vertoeven, heerlijk!

Als ik dit strandlaken niet had gekregen, zou ik anders waarschijnlijk niet kopen, want ik zou gewoon een badhanddoek nemen van thuis. Maar dit strandlaken is veel lichter, omdat het gemaakt is van linnen. Hier besef ik hoe functioneel en veelzijdig dit rechthoekige stof kan zijn!

    You're so resourceful! I don't have a beach towel either because I figure I could just use the boring towels I already have, but this has really got me second-guessing! This is such a beautiful beach towel. I love the light color and the fringes on the sides :) -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey's

EN Or you can call them ‘scrubbies’ but I use them to create whip cream for my crochet cakes and cupcakes! They also make great home decorations by putting them into a maison jar! Did I just inspire you to make them as a gift for your friend, mum, girlfriend..? I’ll say: go for it! NL Of ze worden ook wel ‘scrubbies’ genoemd en ze zijn bedoeld om je lichaam mee te wassen en te scrubben. Maar mijn versie is klein en dienen ze als toefjes slagroom op mijn gehaakte taartjes en cupcakes! Ook doen ze aardig als huis decoraties bijvoorbeeld in een leuke glazen pot! EN This week is officially my back-to-work week from my 6 wonderful weeks off Summer break. And like always it takes some time to adjust, to get my inner work engine warmed up again and like always take a deep breath. It’s kind of the same feeling going back to school but instead of school it’s work. Yay. Since it’s my first work week and it’s first of September why not kick it off with a DIY post. You know to keep our mind working! And this time I take you guys through another fruity crochet tutorial where this time it’s all about the bananas! Happy bunch of bananas because a banana provides good energy to our body, anti-stress and of course is a good snack for every monkeyheads like us! DIY: Crochet Miniature Cinnamon Rolls

EN It’s holidays and Liberation Days in The Netherlands and with all these delicious day offs, I’ve finally got more time to do my yarn works. And yes sleeping in late is also great. But mostly I’ve been really productive with my yarn works, whereas the most recent ones - the puff pastry/Danish I have received a fair amount of likes and sweet comments on my social media.
