My sweet aunty came back home yesterday from her CNY holiday in Hong Kong and as usual and expected she brought presents with her to us: belated red pockets, this gorgeous woollen plaid scarf and of course she didn’t forgot Asian snacks (coming soon)!

Other new in stuff are also gifted, thanks to a girlfriend of mine. And this girlfriend sure reads my glutton heart well so thanks for the deliciousness!
But that’s not all because she also gifted me this lovely tea set with inside: a glass mug with a blackboard part (great for writing names or when you’re bored a doodle), a tea holder and of course chalk!

That’s a great motivation because I’m having a coffee detox and it’s my 4th day now without a single drop of coffee and I must say I’m feeling ok! Though it’s tempting when my papa makes coffee and the smell triggers my nose and body every time. Darn, why is coffee so good? But I stand firm and I will keep detoxing!

Mijn lieve tante is gisteren van haar CNY vakantie in Hong Kong teruggekomen en zoals gewoonlijk en verwacht bracht ze weer allerlei leuke presentjes met haar mee naar ons: rode enveloppen, deze prachtige wollen geruite sjaal en natuurlijk konden de Aziatische snacks niet ontbreken (dat meer binnenkort)!

Andere ‘new in’ spullen zijn ook eigenlijk ook cadeautjes dankzij een toffe vriendin van mij. En deze toffe peer leest mijn lekkerbek hartje maar al te goed, dus bedankt voor de lekkernijen!
Maar dat is nog niet alles, want ik kreeg ook van haar deze mooie thee set met daarin: een glazen mok met een schoolbord (ideaal voor het schrijven van namen of als je je verveelt een krabbeltje), een thee houder en natuurlijk krijt!

Dat is een geweldige motivatie want ik ben een koffie detox aan het doen en het is alweer mijn 4e dag nu zonder een enkele druppel koffie en ik moet zeggen dat ik  me nog ok voel! Hoewel het iedere keer verleidelijk is wanneer papa koffie maak en de geur mijn neus en lichaam elke keer trigger. Verdorie, waarom is koffie zo lekker! Maar ik sta voet bij stuk en ik zal me gaan detoxen!


Thank you H. for this gooorgeous scarf! I've been wanting to buy an oversized plaid scarf but most of them are above €22 which I think it's just to overpriced for a scarf. Atleast here in Holland.

I know Bonne Maman from yummy jams but they are hella good in baking cookies too! This Lemon Poppy Seed Gallete are truly DELICIOUS!

    Scarf looks great! The good thing about oversized scarves is that they can double as a shawl (small one) or a blanket. The colour is very nice.

EN Or you can call them ‘scrubbies’ but I use them to create whip cream for my crochet cakes and cupcakes! They also make great home decorations by putting them into a maison jar! Did I just inspire you to make them as a gift for your friend, mum, girlfriend..? I’ll say: go for it! NL Of ze worden ook wel ‘scrubbies’ genoemd en ze zijn bedoeld om je lichaam mee te wassen en te scrubben. Maar mijn versie is klein en dienen ze als toefjes slagroom op mijn gehaakte taartjes en cupcakes! Ook doen ze aardig als huis decoraties bijvoorbeeld in een leuke glazen pot! Ik zou zeggen: maak ze voor je vriendin, mama, GF!  Echt een leuk blij makerij c:    You need:  Cotton yarn or wool ,  crochet hook (cotton = 2 - 3 mm, wool = 3 - 4 mm) ,  scissor ,  needle       I've actually stuffed a bit of stuffing in it.    The Steps: Row 1: chain 11 Row 2: skip first stitch and start with the 2nd stitch (see picture)

EN This week is officially my back-to-work week from my 6 wonderful weeks off Summer break. And like always it takes some time to adjust, to get my inner work engine warmed up again and like always take a deep breath. It’s kind of the same feeling going back to school but instead of school it’s work. Yay. Since it’s my first work week and it’s first of September why not kick it off with a DIY post. You know to keep our mind working! And this time I take you guys through another fruity crochet tutorial where this time it’s all about the bananas! Happy bunch of bananas because a banana provides good energy to our body, anti-stress and of course is a good snack for every monkeyheads like us! DIY: Crochet Miniature Cinnamon Rolls

EN It’s holidays and Liberation Days in The Netherlands and with all these delicious day offs, I’ve finally got more time to do my yarn works. And yes sleeping in late is also great. But mostly I’ve been really productive with my yarn works, whereas the most recent ones - the puff pastry/Danish I have received a fair amount of likes and sweet comments on my social media. Thank you! Being productive means also I take effort and time in perfecting my yarn works but not too hard to make luckily! Especially the snail rolls (cinnamon rolls/pain aux raisin) are really easy and fun to make.
