HOTSPOT: Chocolate Bakery Amsterdam

EN

Chocolate Bakery Amsterdam? That sound music in my ear when me and my friend W. spotted this small inviting shop in the busy shopping ‘Kalverstraat’ in Amsterdam!

Their shop name says it all as they sell chocolate that are made in the evening beforehand and ready to be sold in the next day. Great! They also have on the menu a ‘chocolatekebab’ with a real spinning chocolate kebab in the shop!
But I didn’t try any of their chocolate assortments sadly.

Amsterdam that day was very cold and all I wanted is to warm myself up with (hot) bubble tea. Yes they sell bubble tea! And they quite have a good range of flavours and topping as well but I always loyally stick with the ‘classic’ bubble tea with tapioca pearls. My friend W. chose for the (cold) mango flavoured bubble tea and immediately regret for not having it warmed up. Boy his hands were frozen!

Anyway, the bubble tea was nice for Western standards and our seller behind the counter is a friendly seller too. And last but not least, Chocolate Bakery Amsterdam also sells macarons and chocolate crêpe. YUM! I have something to go back for and try them out!

Chocolate Bakery Amsterdam?

En last but not least, Chocolade Bakery Amsterdam verkoopt ook macarons en chocolade crêpe. Yum!

This rotating macaron display is really the eye-candy of the shop.

  2. I like milk tea too! I don't think we have it over here warm, but I think if I were to ask for it hot, they might do that.

  10. Ahhh Yes, hot creamy sweet chocolate sounds amazing with colder weather! That macaroon dispenser thing looks so neat! We have bubble tea here at top notch quality but I only drink it when my boyfriend gets it! I'm trying to not drink too many calories! :p
