A day in Karlovy Vary

EN

And here’s finally the super delayed post about my 1-day holiday in Karlovy Vary last summer. Yeah it is that delayed. The reason for that is: I lost my memory card with the pictures in it for awhile (it was hidden well in one of my jeans) but I got it back thank God but when I got it back I also had moved on with my other blogtopics and my other latest happenings in life that needed to be blogged about as well and so Karlovy Vary had to wait. Sadly a long wait and almost forgotten. Hopefully the saying ‘it’s better late than never’ is a good excuse.

So we dropped a quick visit at Karlovy Vary which is 125km away from Prague where I spend my summer holiday last year! I didn’t know what to expect from Karlovy Vary but I quickly learned that this town has the same beautiful style of buildings like Prague. And it is also a lot calmer and cleaner than Prague as well.
Unfortunate Karlovy Vary is expensive. Especially when you decide to pay it with Euro’s, then you have to pay extra attention to not get charged ‘extra’ which happened to us where we ate at this particular café. More of that soon.

A quick Google later and I’ve learned that Karlovy Vary is well known for their spa! We didn’t do spa as we didn’t brought our swimsuit and we were only there for a whole afternoon anyway - so all we did was walk around, eat and drink, buy some souvenirs (just food) and then it was time to head back to our bus.
Let the pictures below here take you to Karlovy Vary!

I also saw a lot of wealthy Chinese tourist from China walking around. And I'm not one of them.

The weather in Karlovy Vary back then was like sunshine, rain,  sunshine etc.... and I had to put on/off my rain poncho constantly. Trust me, rain poncho's are your best friend when you're on holiday. Anywhere!

The nature is breathtaking!

 Food food food!

Shopwindows filled with the most beautiful and pricey goods like this rollerpin.

  1. You travel to the most beautiful places! If only I could see all of these cities one day too...the buildings are especially pretty. I love the photo of the pastel buildings at the top of the staircase.
