TBS: Seaweed IONIC Clay Mask

EN

It’s time for a skin pampering because the cold winter days are not always nice to my skin so every now and then I use a  facial mask. And this time I’ve tried The Body Shop ‘Seaweed IONIC Clay Mask’ as it was only 2,5 bucks and it promises me: revitalised, clean skin and reduce of excess oil!
Sounds good, lets scroll down for my verdict!

NL

Klinkt goed nietwaar? Lees mijn oordeel hieronder!

pros: nice scent, the mask dries up pretty fast and easy to remove with water, the soft skin and clean feeling after
cons: there aren't really any harsh cons but overall there wasn't really outstanding results either. So no re-buy it.

  1. How does it feel when it's on? Nice and cool? BURNING? Hehe my friend has a packet of masks, one seaweed and one cucumber. We've been planning to try it soon :) I've never used a clay mask before, but I've always pictured caking it on with my bare fingers. A brush would probably be a good idea haha. -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey's

  2. Hmm lijkt me wel een fijn masker, maar ik ben nu wat voorzichtig met klei maskers. Ik krijg er vaak juist meer oneffenheden van :p

  3. It's nice to know you apply masks with a foundation brush, I do the same thing :P I wanted to try this one out as well, though I never got around to buying it. I like that TBS has small packets of their face masks, it's a good way to try it out without purchasing the entire tub!

  4. I'm such a sucker for masks! Do you think you might have seen more results if you used it a couple more times? Well, I think I still want to try this one. :)

  6. Thanks for the review, it also serves as a reminder that I should be doing some skin masks soon. I am so lazy when it comes to taking care of skin.
P.S. I never thought of applying a mask with a makeup brush- so smart! :)

  7. I love masks! I especially love sheet masks, they're my favorite. I may want to try an oil controlling mask in the Summer time!

  9. Aww, thanks for the review! I've seen this mask before, and I was considering buying it because I heard seaweed is really good for your skin! But a guess this mask wasn't the best investment? :(

  10. I like that they do small sachets of their masks, so you don't have to buy a full pot when you're not sure you'll like it! xo

  11. Masks are pretty hard to review as you generally won't see outstanding results and I guess that's why I'm a little hesitant buying ones I haven't heard good things about already. Thanks for reviewing this, hope you're having a good week!

  13. I have this mask and I love it. I've had people tell me they notice a difference in my skin. I guess it depends on your skin type. My skin is rather oily. This mask takes away the oil, but it does not leave my skin dry, flaky, or parched (and yes, I do use moisturizer!).
