Sushi is lowfat right?

EN

Ha-ha I’m glad to read that my family aint the only family that needs Asian food when they are on holiday in a non-Asian country!

When my family members from Hong Kong came to Holland we also took them out for a nice sushi dinner, which was an all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant Shabu Shabu.
And this sushi restaurant surprisingly has Korean food (kimchi) and a pretty nice range of desserts as well while most all-you-can-eat restaurants here only serve ice cream.

I’ve never eaten at Shabu Shabu before but since it’s an all-you-can-eat thing I was almost sure it shall taste the same like other sushi chain-restaurants. And it was, except that Shabu Shabu has kimchi and the many dessert choices.

Soft shell crab rolls was nice.

Me and my cousin arrived first and claimed a large table. But we end up waiting for my family a good hour due some time issue but luckily I brought my good ol' yarn and crochet tools to kill: time.

Dinner time!

Korean food?
Also seen before at my Instagram :P it was ok actually!
Because there's always room for dessert
A so-so creme brulee.

The parfait with strawberry was pretty good actually! Nice and sour c:

  1. Gosh, all of that sushi looks delicious! Kind of funny that they'd have kimchi at a Japanese restaurant, but I do happen to love Korean food too :)

  3. Haha, it's so you to crochet at the table ;) I remember when I was younger, I would read books at the dinner table and my mom would scold me lol. The food looks delicious though! Doesn't even look like an all you can eat place, more like one of those super fancy and expensive restaurants. And is it just me or did your layout change colors?!

  4. Hello dessert! ;) Shabushabu is such a popular Korean meat dish here, how funny they named a restaurant after it. So nice you got to treat your family to a delicious meal.

  5. OMG the food all looks sooo good! That's awesome that the place had korean food too and the dessert menu is really cute! Yes, fruits are totally so 'in' with sushi making now! And sushi totally can be fattening! Fried prawns, avocados, mayo...there are lots of delicious not so healthy ingredients are are used now! But I'll still go back time and time again for yummy japanese foods!

  17. Shabu Shabu is sooooo good. Too bad the place we usually go doesn't have kimchi :( The mango aloë vera sushi is my favorite actually. Though I usually just eat the mango and aloë vera first and the seaweed and rice after, instead of it all as a whole hehe.
