Some snack haul

EN

We all have our guilty pleasures, good/bad habits and perhaps even fetishes. One of mine: checking out foreign supermarkets and grocery stores. I don’t know why, but I just have this huge interest to see what foreign shops sells and what brand of food they have!

So my summer holiday in Prague had to involve at least a visit at a supermarket and went to a supermarket called: ‘Spar’. We in The Netherlands do have Spar as well but myself never set foot on Spar before so I was still pretty excited.

Of course it didn’t just end up in a simple visit, a purchase is also crucial. I always try to find unusual things but I have to say that Spar had similar products that we in The Netherlands have. Still, I have managed to buy snacks that I have never seen before and that’s what I wanted to share in today’s post with you guys! Please scroll down!

I bought a roll of lemon flavored biscuits, Czech wafers (hazelnut and coconut flavored) and some baby biscuits.

It's nice that Spar has it own budget line c:

This one got lemon taste - pretty nice!

i like going to grocery stores too! um, not every grocery store - i guess it's like you, i like foreign grocery stores and i love checking their imported goods section, especially if they have variety of asian food products - ahem, especially japanese condiments and such.

i remember in hong kong, my family and i always go to wellcome grocery store near our apartment and we bought cherries like crazy because the cherries in hk are super cheap, wayyy cheaper than in indonesia TT>TT not to mention their section of japanese snacks!

those biscuits look like they'd be awesome companion for afternoon teas. i tend to buy biscuits like those too to drink my tea with (and pretend like i'm some aristocrat having her one o'clock tea time ;u;)

  9. Love checking out supermarkets while visiting a foreign country! I think I love more this type of self souvenirs than any other thing I can buy :) We also had Spar supermarkets for a little while here, but it has been a long time since I've seen one so maybe they are no longer in Barcelona. Which was your favorite snack in this haul?

  15. Good on you for trying new things! It's not always easy to find people that are willing to venture out of their way to do that. I'm a huge fan of finding farmers markets in the places that I go to and just walking around like a local.
