New toy!

EN

Oh you people, thanks for liking my homemade steamed custard buns from the last post!

Alrighty, a ‘new toy’ although mostly a toy is nice but this one is actually an epilator that I’ve bought recently. Beauty is pain girls :c

Summer is coming which means bare legs of course and I am fed up with the razors and waxing and buying an epilator has been on my wishlist for a while. And I’ve chosen for the Braun Silk Epil3!

I didn’t want to pay a fortune and this Silk Epil3 is a good deal (40 bucks). Not waterproof unfortunately but oh well.

So. Did it hurt? Pulling hair out of your flesh and blood is never pleasant so I was kind of scared when I turned this thing on. But! I have to say it wasn’t so bad. I though tweezing eyebrows were more painful than this epilator. But no regret buying it.

Anyway I’m off watching EU songvision!  EDIT: congratulations Austria! I'm so proud my Holland got 2nd place!

Gefeliciteerd Oostenrijk hoor :P

Battery, brush and a manual booklet that I probably will never read...

This kind of surprised me because I thought it would be made from China and I don't want to mean anything bad by it but its nice to see there are still stuff made in EU.

Waterproof: nope
Battery: with a socket
Pain level: bearable lol
Overall: ♥♥♥♥ 4/5

  1. You're so brave using the epilator. I used mine for a month or two before returning to razors. It left my skin feeling irritated unfortunately. D:

  2. Hmm I've never really considered an epilator because I;m okay with waxing/razors/just being lazy haha. Are there any benefits to epilating over the others?

:) xx

  7. Oh, damn! I've never dared trying an epilator. I've been glued to razors ever since. I reaaaally don't like waxing. Good going!! xx

  11. I also have and epilator that I have been using for years and I actually have less hair on my legs now (or is that too much information?) - I wouldn't want to do without anymore!

  13. Wah, I'm so scared of epilators! I personally shave my legs and tweeze my underarms/eyebrows, and I'm getting more used to the pain lol. Poor manual books, nobody seems to read them!

  17. I need to invest in this! I don't want to use razors so much, especially when I travel, less things to take. I turned to waxing at home and it's not so bad. Please update us on this :)

  19. wow. i think my friend had this! i think i'd be a bit scared but shaving totally blows.

  20. I had an epilator when I was a teenager and was soo painful, hahaha, but I guess I should give it another try because they must have evolved since then hugely. Dani is right by my side asking if it can be THAT painful (clearly not believing me) I think I will try it on his leg :P Oh! I was also watching the eu songvison and Holland was a favorite, very beautiful the duo! Congrats on the second place! Although Conchita and her beard were interesting as well :)

  21. I have a similar one and I used it more than enough to justify the purchase, but I find it takes a while and it hurts. But that's probably because I wait too long to do it. It's better if you do it when your hair is still short, I heard it's less painful. It's annoying to clean up though so do it in the bathroom where you can easily broom.
