Rewiew // My Scheming 'Milk Extract Brightening mask'

EN

One of my favourite beauty things are masks. Especially sheetmasks! They are very convenient and I love the cooling feeling when it touches your skin. And naturally comes the effect and function of its own.

At cosmetic shop ‘Colourmix’ I’ve purchased 2 boxes of sheetmasks by the brand ‘My Scheming – Milk Extract Brightening’ in Hong Kong last summer. They were on sale for HK$80 (€7,50/$10) for 2 boxes! 2 boxes!! What a bargain right? I’ve got one for myself and for my niece.

I’ve never tried out this brand before but it’s from Taiwan and I trust & love products from Taiwan, so why not!

Quite cute packaging!

I have a  combination  skin type.
CLAIMS: to be  moisturizing, anti-wrinkle & lines, refine skin, revive elasticity and enhance glow . Sounds wonderful doesn't it?
I mostly apply masks after taken a hot shower which opens my pores at night. Hence the Hello Kitty pj's.

I don't know about you but I find it such a waste throwing away the mask after one use, when there's still a lot of 'juice' left for a 2nd use! I like to reuse with a fresh new cotton sheet mask c:
~
moisturizing: I had some dry patches on my face (cheekbones) and they felt softer and sorta nutrient after the masks ♥♥♥♥♥ 5/5
refine skin: my pores looked smaller and my skin felt softer and freshen up! No break-outs in the next day either. ♥♥♥♥♥ 5/5
revive elasticity: I guess so? I can't really say since I've only used once. My skin does feel a lot softer and smoother after the masks. ♥♥♥ 3/5
enhance glow: yes! Though it's temporary. ♥♥♥ 4/5
anti-wrinkle & lines: I can't really say the difference after 1x use. And I really don't have lines YET. N/A

TOP: I'm really pleased with this brand as the results are not bad as well! Price, packaging (which is cute and printed with soy ink), available at many online shops (Sasa, Colourmix), smells ok.
CON: quite a long list with chemicals ingredients (it has paraben) which can cause allergic reactions.

  9. The packaging is so cute with the little milk bottle print. That's actually a really good idea to use a new mask with the old juice! There's no point in wasting everything that's still left.

  13. I'm totally loving following you on IG! Oh wow, this made me remember I have packs of masks in the fridge waiting to be used. They are so good to use and I think necessary at least once a week for that extra boost of moisture and other good stuff.

  20. Ahh face sheets, I am interested in trying some out. Do you know any face masks that are fragrance free?

  21. gotta agree with you; sheet masks are awesome <3 i (can't resists) buy(ing) a lot whenever i go to etude house... especially the collagen eye patches (hoping for my dark circles to be slightly better so i won't have to dab a lot of concealers -__-)

wait. i didn't know you could use face mask twice in a row? i always throw after i'm using one even though it's not 120% dry. i just thought reusing it is...sort of... disgusting/dirty? LOL
i wonder if sheet masks that says brightening actually helps in brightening our skin? also the ones with "whitening" ....i don't think it works to whiten skin tone, right? it only brightens our skin... hmm... i wanna be paler hahaha
