A day in Tsim Sha Tsui 02

EN

During my stay in Hong Kong, I went to a lot of places including ‘Tsim Sha Tsui’. Me and my cousin and aunt were really my tour guide which is really a blessing. Its not like I can’t speak the language because I can, but sometimes I lack of words and my Cantonese has a lot of weird foreign accent mix (Dutch, English..) in it. Which I find it embarrassing so I rather have my family do the talking for me ha.

There was a (free) exhibition that we have attended: 'Explore Our Heritage'. Basically all about Hong Kong history.

I was pretty impressed about this exhibition as I did not expect a free exhibition would provide this much seeing materials and activities (you can play games and watch movies and draw stuff). Also became a bit wiser about Hong Kong as well!

A walk through 'Tsim Sha Tsui District Park' and hoping that it will clean and freshen up our lungs from the smog out there...

Funny how the weather in Hong Kong can change drastically from nice blue sky weather to a tropical shower rain. Literally felt like taking a shower, look at my dress! What I've learned: always bring an umbrella.

 Dinner in our belly.

  1. Nice! Erg herkenbaar @ Chinees praten.

  13. Haha I'm the same with my cantonese - I have to substitute the words I don't know with english so I sound so dumb when I'm talking to someone from HK! Once again your posts are making me super eager to go back. If all goes to plan, I'll be returning sometime this year (fingers crossed!)

  19. You're so lucky you got family in HK and they can bring / show you where to eat, etc etc. when i went to hk last year's christmas, we didn't really get to explore tsim sha tsui much. what a bummer. and then the second time in causeway bay and to central, no guide either so we kind of randomly walked and ate around... sigh.

anyway, when you were in hk, was there any warning about typhoon? lol hk turned into a dead, post apocalyptic zombie town when a typhoon's being warned >w<
