Project: Cranberry Dinner Buns

EN

Lets face it fresh bread is like one of the best things in the world! Especially when they just left the oven and they are still warm.
I love making my own buns & bread and I still don’t own a breadmachine. I guess is a good thing that I like to knead and play around with the dough.

So if you are planning hosting a dinner party or just like me a bread lover, try these homemade soft cranberry dinner buns!
NL

Wees nou eerlijk, brood is luxe. Vooral wanneer het vers en net uit de oven komt dat zelf zonder smeertje boter heerlijk smaakt!

Ik hou van bakken en zeker van brood bakken en dat zonder een broodmachine. I guess lekker ambachtelijk ha? Het is maar goed dat ik van kneden hou.

Hou je binnenkort een etentje of ben je net als ik een fan van brood, probeer deze zelfgemaakte zachte cranberry broodjes!

Da Recipe: 1½ cup bread flour (+/- 240gr), ½ package instant yeast, 1 tbsp. sweet condensed milk, 20 ml lukewarm water, 20 gr melted butter, 150 ml milk, pinch of salt, 1 cup dried cranberries

 My secret ingredients c:

Very practical.

 Da Steps:

  1. Add the lukewarm water to the yeast and set aside 5 minutes. It should froth up and creamy.
  2. Then add the sweet condensed milk, 150 ml milk and salt to it.
  3. Sift the flour and occasionally add in the milk mixture and stir until its thick enough to knead.
  4. At this state is should be quite sticky. Knead for 2 minutes. If its still sticky, then add 1 tbsp. of flour.
  5. Add in cranberries and knead for a good 10 minutes until its smooth, elastic and not sticky!
  6. Make it a ball, place it in a bowl, cover with clingwrap and let it poof for 1 hour until it doubles in size.
  7. Punch a hole in the middle and release the gas.
  8. Divide the dough into portions (I got 9) and let it poof for another 30 minutes on a lined baking tray.
  9. Time to bake! Brush milk on top of the buns to create that brown baked effect on top. Place the tray in pre-heated oven 180° C/350°F for 30 minutes!
Good luck!
