Project: banana egg tart

EN

I don’t know what made me think to combine egg and banana but it happen: banana egg tart. I think it tasted pretty good and very creamy and the crust is perfect but next time I’ll make it thinner.

And maybe a drizzle of hot chocolate sauce on top and roasted nuts. What do you think? c:

NL

Da Recipe: 100 gr. flour, 1 egg, 32 butter (room temp.)  short crust pastry
1 egg, 2 tbsp. sugar, 100 ml cream, 1 tbsp. cornflour/maizena, vanilla extract drops  filling
a banana, grated coconut  topping

Da Steps:
  1. Mix butter and flour until you get a nice 'sand' texture. Then add in egg and knead into a smooth dough. Wrap in foil and rest in fridge for 30 minutes.
  2. For the egg filling: combine egg and sugar and whisk until sugar is dissolved. Add in cornflour, cream and vanilla extract. Set aside.
  3. Get your tart molds ready, I've used a rectangle one (I loveee it) but you can use any desired molds  Get your dough out of the fridge and roll it out with a roller pin on a dusted surface.
  4. Now press the dough in the mold, pour in the egg filling 50% and bake at 230°C degrees for 15 minutes. Turn off the heat to 150°C and bake for 10 minutes.
  5. Unmold the tart and let it cool.
  6. Slice the banana and place them on top of your egg tart. Sprinkle some grated coconut and you're done!
Good luck!
