HOTSPOT 11: Nom Nom Bubble Tea

It seems the bubble tea hype is really taken over Rotterdam - The Netherlands!
There are so many shops opened recently. Same thing with 'Nom Nom Bubble Tea'.
I think this brand origins from Germany since their site is all written in German.
And just by looking at their pictures + free WiFi it looks promising!

Arriving at the brandnew looking shop, there were 2 customers before me.
The shoplady whom is an Asian was really friendly and custom oriented.
I've ordered the small size green apple flavored tea with tapioca bubbles.

Right after ordering I got my first stamp because Nom Nom Bubble Tea has
a pointsystem card! To collect yourself a free bubble tea of course...
Lets take a look of the pictures I've made and the verdict!

A hip sleek modern looking interior. Too bad there was only 1 socket that was actually meant for the lamp ...
The shoplady was friendly enough for letting me borrow it for my laptop.

Their bubble tea unfortunate didn't taste good. The tapioca pearls were raw in the center and tasted powdery :c
The texture was watery with little tea flavor and no apple flavor in it.

  8. Oh yes, i know Nom Nom :) - it is indeed a German Bubbletea Store. It was the second Bubbletea Store which opened in Frankfurt during the massive hype (which is actually nearly gone after press & media here proclaimed it as unhealthy, especially for children - so you don't have to wait in a long line for your tea).
My first try at this store was quite good - but i think they added a bit too much crushed ice (which means more water than actual taste in the end) but the Tapiokas were very well cooked. You defenitely need well trained staff who knows how to cook and serve it right :s
...and i cannot remember any food review where you put such a low rating o.O
    - so let's see how they will improve ;)

  9. It's a shame that the tea didn't taste good! I feel like I'm spoiled for choice when it comes to bubble tea in Australia, but I should really avoid it because I end up getting addicted..

  16. I love bubble tea. Hopefully they will work on improving the tea and flavor taste. Would hate to see the trend to go away in Germany. The like their furniture and space.

I hate when the tapioca pearls are raw! Hopefully they can improve in the future, since they seem to be a new business~
