DIY: growing (easy) spring onions
Lets grow food together (and save money)! Since spring is finally
here in Holland, everything is growing and blooming in the yard!
Even my windowsills is full of life: I'm growing my own spring
onions! How cool is that? My friend showed me how easy it
was and it really triggered myself to try it out.
Within the shortest times I saw the first difference because it grew!
I felt really happy that it didn't die on me and really motivated me
to continue this. Meanwhile I added the following vegetables
on the windowsill: zucchini & peppers! I can't wait to harvest

these baby's and to eat it!
Have you ever ever grown vegetables? What are you
favorite vegetables (mine: pak choi, Brussels sprouts, eggplant)
Tools : a cup & water STEPS: 1. Pour 1/2 water in the cup. 2. Cut 5cm from the root. 3. Place the root heads in the water and done! CARE: place it in a light area and daily watering!
i like pak choi and eggplant as well! :)
ReplyDeletei also like choi sum(?)
Wow, I really love growing plants as well, but they always seem to die on me! Good job on keeping these onions alive! :D
ReplyDeleteOMG. this is so easy even I can do it! I am going to try this. And now you've added zucchini and peppers?! You're too good. I've never grown any vegetables or fruits before, except my parents do have a pear tree in the backyard. I'm excited.
ReplyDeleteThey really are so easy to grow! My friend taught me this trick last year and I was so happy to see that it worked. Happy Gardening!
ReplyDeleteGoodness gracious! It grew so fast :) I love it!
ReplyDeleteWe have everything in our backyard from eggplants, tomatoes, grapes, peaches, potatoes, and everything in between. We finally started growing cilantro.
You should try to grow avocado, I heard its super easy!
I used to grow green onions like that, when I was little. I'm currently growing strawberries, peaches, rosemary, and basil. Rosemary grows very easily and tastes good with butter on bread, so I highly recommend it. ^^

I use to do this but I got really lazy and they all eventually died.. but it's great! Free green onions forever ^^
ReplyDeleteI would really love to grow and tend to plants. But unfortunately, I don’t have the talent nor do I have a green thumb to luckily grow any plant at all. Good for you! They look healthy anyway. I’m sure they’d grow much healthier next week. Good luck on your project! Ciao!
